Motorhome Trip
Our good friends, Ken and Sarah are planning a move to Rehoboth, New Mexico. While they are excited to begin ministry at the Christian school there, we are going to miss them dearly. To reminisce a similar trip we took 7 (or 8?) years earlier, a group of friends piled into a friends' motor home and drove to the coast. We had such an enjoyable day together. It was also wonderful to know that our kids were home enjoying their day with Grandma and Grandpa.
We will miss you, Ken and Sarah!
Hanging out on the way to the coast
Good friends

Even though the day was cool and rainy, we enjoyed beautiful views on the way.
We all learned a lot during a tour and wine tasting at the Eagle Castle winery (but really, is swishing and gargling our wine going to change our wine tasting experience forever?)
The Eagle Castle winery was quite the place.
Our next stop was lunch in Morro Bay

A few of us found some fun gifts for our kids. We found some "rattlesnake eggs" and a whoopee cushion for Daniel for his birthday -- they turned out to be some of his favorite gifts!
On the way home, we played several rounds of Mafia -- a social "who-done-it" game where the "mafia" try to kill off the "townspeople" and "police" before the good guys identify the mafia. It brought back great memories of playing this game several years earlier and it was so much fun to just laugh and play games together.
Annette is trying to make her case that she was NOT the mafia
We stopped on the way home to have a picnic dinner.
Enjoying the time together.
And here we all are... we figured out that since the last time we did this trip, the 7 couples who went had a total of 25 kids. So life has been busy... and we are all so richly blessed with healthy, wonderful kids, and great friendships. We pray for God's blessing for Ken and Sarah as they begin a new stage of their journey.
