A Wonderful Visit

I am now in that stage of mourning I enter after every time our family comes... and leaves. Scott's parents came for visit last Saturday and were here until Wednesday evening. We had such a great time with them. One day we went up to the mountains, which was a fun little trip. Scott and his dad also went golfing for an afternoon (Daniel got to go along too... I think Grandpa Kostelyk was worn out from Daniel's incessant questions more than the game!) It was just a really nice time for the kids (and us!) to catch up with Grandma and Grandpa again. Norah is still asking for "Papa" the very first thing in the mornings. Thanks for the wonderful visit, Grandma and Grandpa Kostelyk!
Grandma reading books to the boys.
Grandpa reading books. Norah REALLY took a shine to Grandpa. She wanted Grandpa, and no one else, to read books to her. Calvin and Norah having fun splashing in the rain. Calvin still has a smile on his face because he still has two boots on his feet (see the next picture).

Here is Calvin playing with his one, lone boot. After playing with both boots for awhile he somehow lost one of his boots down the gutter in the street. At first, Scott thought he'd be able to rescue the boot, but there was a rushing torrent of water going down the drain... one look and we knew Calvin was going to have to be a one-booted wonder from now on! The whole incident was really quite hilarious, although the poor boy was heart-broken at the time!

The view from a bridge on the far end of Hume Lake. Sadly, it was pretty smoky and hazy the day we were there, so we couldn't see much.
