Last Monday we celebrated Daniel's 6th birthday. He started his day off with a bang by opening his gift from us -- a Red Ryder BB gun. He was pretty excited about it and wanted to practice shooting right away on the target Scott had made for him in the backyard. We continued the day by going to the park with a few friends and ended with Daniel's favorite meal (chicken pot pie) with Jason and Ashley. What a fun day for a 6-year-old!

Daniel has been very interested in volcanoes lately, so this volcano cake was a hit.
Daniel especially liked it when we lit some sparklers to make the volcano "erupt".
Everyone wanted to do silly faces!
Thanks Auntie Kim and Uncle Kevin for the new soccer ball! He's spent a lot of time kicking it around already.

Birthday cake in the backyard -- a beautiful night as we ended the day celebrating our sweet boy who is growing up so quickly! We thank God for the 6 years he has given us with him, and pray He will continue to bless Daniel as he grows and matures.

Wow Jen, that is quite the cake :) Quite impressive! It looks like Daniel had a great birthday and loved the BB gun.(Is Scott going to use it on the neighborhood cats?) Have a great week!
